On January 20, the Deputy Minister for Development of Economy, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine Taras Vysotsky met with profile associations to announce the developed directions of state support for the agricultural sector for 2020.
"In total, the Ministry of Economy has received more than 40 requests for government support. According to the proposals, we have identified several basic areas - gardening, animal husbandry, cheaper agricultural machinery and equipment, farming and consulting, cheaper loans. Working groups will also be set up to coordinate each of the areas and work on how the funds are used, "Taras Vysotsky said.
The Deputy Minister spoke about the distribution of finance between the main areas of support. In particular, certain amounts have already included reimbursement of unpaid funds for the previous period. Thus, in the direction of partial compensation for the cost of agricultural machinery and equipment is allocated 1 billion UAH, animal husbandry - 1 billion UAH, cheaper loans - 1.2 billion UAH, gardening and agriculture - 400 million UAH. Within the working groups, sub-programs on the main programs will be developed.
Taras Vysotsky also voiced some of the proposals from associations, including compensation for the cost of livestock complexes, compensation for the purchase of breeding animals, subsidies for the purchase of bee families, support for apiaries, support for family farms, cooperatives, lending for small farms lands and others.
In addition, the Deputy Minister noted that by February 1, a final vision on state support should be elaborated and submitted to the Agrarian Committee hearings to be held on February 11.
